PSA Micro Dagger Review: My 200-Round Instructor Take

I recently spent time running the PSA Micro Dagger on the range, and the review took off on Instagram — so I wanted to put everything in one place.

In this quick 200-round review, I break down what stood out to me as an instructor, including the size, capacity, grip texture, porting, optic-ready slide, and why this pistol may make sense for newer shooters or anyone looking for a budget-friendly carry option.

Watch the full review below:

A few highlights from the review:

The PSA Micro Dagger gives you a slimline profile similar to the Glock 43X/48 style platform, but with 15-round capacity out of the box. That is a big deal if you want something concealable without immediately needing aftermarket magazine upgrades.

I also liked the grip texture. It is not overly aggressive, but it gives you enough purchase on the gun, especially if your hands get sweaty during training.

Another feature worth talking about is the porting. Ports are not something you always see on a gun this size. They can help redirect gas upward, which may reduce muzzle rise and help with faster follow-up shots. The trade-off is that in low light, you may see more flash. That is just part of running a ported gun.

The Micro Dagger also comes optic-ready, using the Shield RMSc footprint, so you do not have to send the slide out or buy a new one just to mount a red dot.

As always, before putting any firearm into your carry rotation, run rounds through it first. Do not skip that step.

If you have questions about the PSA Micro Dagger, concealed carry setup, holsters, or how it compares to the Glock 43X or Glock 48, drop a comment or reach out.
